   Inspect the wiring harness routing from the T-handle gear shift lever down through the console boot for pinched, chafed, or broken wires

   Disconnect the T-handle electrical connector and check for corrosion, bent pins, or moisture intrusion

   Verify the T-handle is receiving the correct reference voltage and ground from the Dash module using a multimeter

   Test the signal wire for continuity between the T-handle connector and the Dash module to rule out an open or shorted harness

   Test the resistance and operation of the push-buttons on the T-handle to check for failed or sticking internal microswitches

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts during the repair.

   Access the Wiring

   Carefully pry up or unscrew the gear shift lever boot/bellows (e.g., Part QTP-64370) from the side console to expose the base of the T-handle lever and its wiring.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the electrical connector linking the T-handle to the main cab harness.

   Remove the Handle

   Depending on the exact model, remove the retaining set-screw or clip holding the T-handle to the mechanical lever shaft, and slide the handle (with its wiring) off the shaft.

   Replace

   Route the wiring of the new T-handle down the shaft and slide the new handle into place. Secure it with the retaining screw/clip.

   Reassemble

   Reconnect the electrical plug, ensuring it clicks securely. Reinstall the rubber boot/bellows into the console trim.

   Clear Codes & Test

   Reconnect the battery. Turn the key to the ON position and use a diagnostic tool to clear the 00.2.36 fault code from the Dash module. Start the tractor and test the Dynashift/range change functions to ensure the signal voltage is reading correctly and the code does not return.
