   Check for accompanying codes using a diagnostic tool, as other modules may report missing messages from the dash

   Visually inspect the wiring harnesses connecting to the instrument panel for physical damage, chafing, or corrosion

   Check power and ground by ensuring the alternator and voltage regulator are functioning properly, and inspect fuses and relays supplying power to the dash

   Test the CAN High and CAN Low lines with a multimeter for short-to-ground, short-to-positive (12V), or open circuits

   Check the terminating resistors on the CAN network (with the battery disconnected, resistance across CAN High and CAN Low should typically read 60 ohms)

   Replace or Repair the Dash Module

   If the wiring, power, and grounds are all intact but the dash still fails to communicate on the CAN bus, the internal circuitry of the instrument panel has likely failed. The panel must be sent out for electronic repair (e.g., to an agricultural electronics specialist) or replaced entirely.

   Reassembly and Clearing Codes

   Reconnect the battery, turn the ignition on, and use an AGCO-compatible diagnostic scanner to clear the 00.2.40 fault code. Verify that the dash powers up and communicates properly with the engine and transmission ECUs.
