Massey Ferguson 00.2.46 – Dash: Clutch Pedal Top Clutch pedal Switch Open
Issue description

Check the cause
Locate the clutch pedal switch in the pedal box inside the cab and inspect the wiring harness and 2-pin spade connector for breaks, corrosion, or loose connections
Disconnect the switch and use a multimeter to test for continuity. The switch should open and close cleanly as the pedal is depressed and released. If it reads 'open' regardless of pedal position, the switch has failed internally
Verify that the relevant cab fuses powering the dash and pedal sensors are intact
Repair steps
Access the Pedal Box
Locate the clutch pedal switch assembly situated in the pedal box at the base of the clutch pedal.
Disconnect Wiring
Carefully unplug the electrical connector from the switch terminals.
Remove the Switch
The switch features a threaded cylindrical body (typically M14 x 1.5) secured by a nut. Loosen the retaining nut and unscrew the faulty switch from its mounting bracket.
Install the New Switch
Thread the new switch into the bracket. Adjust the depth so that the switch plunger makes proper contact with the pedal mechanism when the pedal is at rest (top position), then tighten the retaining nut.
Reconnect and Test
Plug the electrical connector back in. Start the tractor and test the clutch engagement. Note: If the clutch engagement feels harsh or jumpy after repair, a routine clutch pedal calibration can be performed via the dash.
