00.X.43

Massey Ferguson 00.X.43 – Dash / Instrument Panel (DCC - Dash Control Center): Problem With Dash Configuration

Issue description

The instrument panel has lost its programmed configuration parameters, has a corrupted memory file, or is failing to communicate its configuration properly over the CAN BUS network.

Check the cause

  1. Check battery and alternator voltage. Verify the alternator regulator is outputting a stable 12-14V and look for related voltage codes (e.g., D121/D129 for voltage too high, D122/D130 for voltage too low).

  2. Inspect CAN BUS communication. Check for accompanying codes like 00.X.44 and inspect the wiring harness and connectors at the rear of the instrument cluster for corrosion, loose pins, or chafing.

  3. Verify the tractor code using a diagnostic tool to see if the dash has dropped its model assignment (indicated by code D155).

Repair steps

  1. Connect Diagnostic Tool

Connect a compatible diagnostic tool (such as the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) or Jaltest AGV) to the tractor's diagnostic port.

  2. Read ECU Data

Access the Dash Control Center (DCC) module and read the current configuration values.

  3. Reconfigure the Dash

If the configuration is blank or corrupted, use the software to re-enter the correct tractor model code and parameter table. Save the configuration and cycle the tractor's key power.

  4. Clear Codes

Clear the 00.X.43 fault code and run the tractor to see if the code returns.

  5. Replace the Instrument Panel

If the dash refuses to accept the configuration programming, or if the internal memory has failed (hardware fault), the instrument panel assembly must be physically replaced.

  6. Program New Panel

If a replacement panel is installed, it will arrive blank and must be programmed with the correct tractor configuration via the diagnostic tool before the tractor will operate normally. Attempting to program the dash while the engine is running will trigger code D148; always program with the key ON and engine OFF.
