Massey Ferguson 00.X.63 – Dash Module: Internal Issue With Dash Temperature (Dash)

The internal temperature sensor located on the circuit board inside the dashboard has detected a temperature outside of its normal operating parameters (overheating), or the internal sensor itself has failed and is sending an erratic/impossible value.

   Check ambient cab temperature to ensure the tractor is not experiencing extreme heat soak (e.g., HVAC failure while operating in direct, intense sunlight).

   Inspect ventilation around the steering column and dash area for heavy dust buildup or debris blocking the module's ability to dissipate heat.

   Test battery voltage and alternator output to rule out overvoltage, which can cause the internal components of the dash to overheat.

   Verify if the dash is physically hot to the touch; if the cab is cool, voltage is stable, and the dash is not hot, the internal thermistor/sensor has likely failed.

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical shorts or CAN BUS spikes.

   Remove Trim

   Remove the plastic steering column cowlings and trim panels surrounding the instrument cluster.

   Extract the Dash

   Remove the retaining screws holding the dash panel in place.

   Disconnect Harnesses

   Carefully unplug the multi-pin electrical connectors from the rear of the dash module.

   Install New Module

   Connect the wiring harnesses to the replacement Dashboard Digital Display and secure it with the mounting screws.

   Reassemble and Calibrate

   Reinstall the steering column trim and reconnect the battery. Note: Depending on the tractor series, a dealer technician may need to connect an AGCO diagnostic tool to configure the new dash to the tractor's CAN BUS system (to prevent 'Problem With Dash Configuration' codes).
