Massey Ferguson 03.00.95 – TECU: High Voltage On Auxiliary Valve Switch 6 (TECU)

The control module is detecting a voltage reading on the circuit for the 6th auxiliary valve switch that exceeds the expected normal operating range. This is typically caused by a short to power in the wiring harness, an open circuit, or an internal failure within the switch itself.

   Inspect the physical condition of Auxiliary Valve Switch 6 (often integrated into the multi-function joystick or armrest) for sticking or damage.

   Trace the wiring harness from the TECU to the auxiliary valve switch. Look for chafed wires shorting to a power source or disconnected/broken wires causing an open circuit.

   Disconnect the harness at the switch and at the TECU. Inspect the connector pins for corrosion, bent terminals, or moisture ingress.

   Test the switch with a multimeter for proper continuity/resistance when actuated.

   Test the signal wire for voltage to ensure it is not receiving unintended power from another circuit.

   Power Down

   Turn off the ignition and disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical spikes during repair.

   Access the Component

   Remove the necessary trim panels on the armrest or joystick console to access the wiring for Auxiliary Valve Switch 6.

   Repair/Replace Wiring

   If the diagnostic checks revealed a short to power or a broken wire in the harness, repair the damaged section of the wire or replace the sub-harness.

   Replace the Switch

   If the switch itself failed the multimeter test (internal short), replace the switch. Note: On many modern Massey Ferguson models, these switches are integrated into the multi-function joystick, which may require replacing the joystick assembly or the specific switch module.

   Reassemble and Reconnect

   Reconnect all harnesses and reinstall the console trim. Reconnect the battery.

   Clear Codes

   Use the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) or a compatible scanner to clear the 03.00.95 fault code from the TECU memory. Test the operation of the 6th auxiliary valve to ensure the code does not return.
