Issue description
The electronic control system is detecting an abnormal, missing, or out-of-range electrical signal voltage coming from the dial used by the operator to set the rear hitch depth.

Check the cause
Connect a compatible diagnostic tool to read the ECU failure memory
Display live values of sensors connected to the MFA ECU and monitor the signal voltage of the Hitch Depth Control Dial while turning it to see if voltage drops out, spikes, or remains static
If a computer diagnostic tool is unavailable, use manual diagnostic processes through display codes or blinking codes on the dash/Datatronic display
Repair steps
Disassemble the MFA housing
Disassemble the MFA (Multi-Function Armrest) housing to access the internal components.
Inspect wiring harness and connector
Inspect the wiring harness and connector leading directly to the Hitch Depth Control Dial for chafing, pinched wires, or loose/corroded pins.
Test voltage supply and ground
Test the voltage supply and ground to the dial.
Replace Hitch Depth Control Dial
If the wiring is intact but the signal voltage remains faulty, remove and replace the defective Hitch Depth Control Dial (potentiometer).
Reassemble and clear codes
Reassemble the armrest and clear the fault codes from the MFA module.
