Issue description
This indicates a communication failure on the Controller Area Network (CAN) bus. The system is not receiving a valid signal or message from the electronic spool valve controls (typically the micro-joystick or fingertip levers) located on the tractor's armrest.

Check the cause
Remove the armrest trim and inspect the wiring harness connecting the spool valve joystick/fingertip controls to the MFA module. Look for pinched wires, chafing, or disconnected plugs.
Disconnect the spool valve control plug and check for bent pins, moisture, or corrosion.
Using a multimeter, verify the continuity of the CAN High and CAN Low lines between the spool valve controls and the MFA module. Check for shorts to ground or shorts to power.
Verify that the spool valve control unit is receiving proper operating voltage and has a solid ground connection.
Connect an AGCO EDT or compatible aftermarket diagnostic tool (like Jaltest) to read live data from the MFA. Check if the module recognizes any movement from the spool valve levers. Attempt to run the 'calibration of the spool valve control lever' routine. If the calibration fails or the module cannot be reached, the physical control unit has likely failed.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
Access the Controls
Carefully remove the retaining screws and plastic trim pieces on the Multi-Function Armrest to expose the underside of the spool valve controls.
Wiring Repair
If the diagnostic checks revealed damaged CAN lines or power wires, splice and repair the wiring using heat-shrink connectors.
Replace the Control Module
If the wiring is intact, disconnect the electrical harness from the faulty spool valve joystick/fingertip module. Unbolt the module from the armrest housing and install the replacement unit.
Reassembly
Secure the new control module, reconnect the electrical harness, and reinstall the armrest trim.
Calibration
Reconnect the battery. You must use a diagnostic tool to perform a 'calibration of the spool valve control lever' to marry the new component to the MFA system and set the neutral/maximum travel limits.
