Issue description
The Tractor Electronic Control Unit (TECU) provides a steady 10-volt reference signal to various sensors and potentiometers across the machine. This code triggers when the TECU detects that the 10V supply circuit is out of its normal operating range, typically caused by a short to ground in the wiring harness, a shorted sensor pulling the voltage down, or an internal failure within the TECU itself.

Check the cause
Test the Output Voltage: Using a multimeter, back-probe the 10V reference pin at the TECU harness connector. Verify if the voltage is actually missing, low, or spiking.
Isolate the Sensors (Drop-out Test): Disconnect the sensors that rely on the 10V reference one by one (e.g., draft load pins, hitch position sensors, armrest potentiometers). If the 10V supply returns to normal at the TECU after unplugging a specific sensor, that sensor is internally shorted and needs replacement.
Inspect the Wiring Harness: If unplugging the sensors does not restore the 10V supply, check the main wiring harness for chafing, pinched wires, or exposed copper shorting against the tractor chassis (ground).
Test the TECU: If the harness is completely isolated (unplugged from all sensors) and shows no continuity to ground, but the TECU still fails to output 10 Volts, the TECU has suffered an internal hardware failure.

Disconnect Power
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery terminal before performing any electrical repairs.
Address the Short (If Applicable)
If a sensor was found to be shorted during diagnostics, unbolt the faulty sensor, clean the connector with electrical contact cleaner, and install the replacement sensor. If the harness was chafed, repair the damaged wire using heat-shrink butt connectors and re-loom the harness to prevent future rubbing.
Replace the TECU (If Applicable)
Locate the TECU module (usually located under the right-hand cab console or behind the seat, depending on the specific tractor series). Disconnect the multi-pin connectors from the module. Unbolt the module from its mounting bracket and install the new TECU.
Reassemble and Calibrate
Reconnect the battery. Note that installing a new TECU will require a dealer-level diagnostic tool (like the AGCO EDT) to flash the correct software for your specific tractor chassis and to calibrate the transmission and hydraulic valves.
Clear Codes
Clear the inactive 03.02.80 code and test-run the tractor to ensure the 10V supply remains stable.
