Massey Ferguson 03.02.8C – TECU: Calibration Issue For Valve Switch 4 (TECU)
Issue description
The control module has detected that the signal coming from the Auxiliary Valve Switch 4 (typically a fingertip spool valve control located on the armrest) is outside of its calibrated parameters, or the switch has lost its stored calibration data.

Check the cause
Check for related codes (e.g., 03.02.8A or 03.02.8B) that might indicate a hard electrical fault (short to 0V or 12V) rather than just a calibration loss
Inspect the physical condition of the fingertip switch/micro-joystick for Valve 4 on the armrest to ensure it returns to the neutral position smoothly and is not physically jammed
Inspect the wiring harness and connectors beneath the armrest leading to the TECU for any signs of chafing, corrosion, or loose pins
Repair steps
Attempt Recalibration
Before replacing any parts, use the tractor's Datatronic terminal (or an AGCO dealer electronic diagnostic tool) to navigate to the hydraulic/armrest settings. Initiate the calibration procedure for the auxiliary spool valve switches. Follow the on-screen prompts to move the switch through its full range of motion.
Clear Codes
If calibration is successful, clear the fault codes and test the operation of Auxiliary Valve 4.
Access the Switch
If the calibration fails or the code immediately returns, power down the tractor and disconnect the battery. Remove the armrest control cover to access the fingertip switches.
Replace the Switch
Disconnect the electrical connector for Valve Switch 4 and remove the switch assembly. Install the replacement switch. (Note: On some MF configurations, the fingertip switches are integrated into a single multipad or micro-joystick module and must be replaced as a unit).
Final Calibration
Reconnect the battery, turn the key to the ON position, and perform the switch calibration procedure again so the TECU can learn the voltage parameters of the new potentiometer/switch.

Because armrest configurations vary heavily based on the transmission type and hydraulic options, a VIN-specific lookup is required for the exact switch.
