Massey Ferguson 03.02.96 – TECU (Tractor Electronic Control Unit): Calibration Issue For Valve Switch 6 (TECU)
Issue description
The control module has detected that the calibration parameters for the 6th auxiliary (remote) hydraulic valve switch or spool valve control lever are missing, out of tolerance, or that a recent calibration procedure failed to complete successfully.

Check the cause
Check for related electrical codes (03.02.94 or 03.02.95) indicating a short circuit, open circuit, or sensor failure that must be repaired before calibration.
Visually inspect the physical condition of the auxiliary valve switch (fingertip paddle or joystick) on the MFA console to ensure it returns to neutral freely and is not obstructed.
Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the armrest switch and the TECU for corrosion, loose pins, or chafing.
Repair steps
Prepare the Tractor
Park the tractor on a level surface. Ensure the hydraulic oil is up to normal operating temperature, as cold oil can affect electro-hydraulic calibration tolerances.
Access Calibration Menu
Access the tractor's diagnostic/calibration menu via the instrument panel (CCD - Control Center Display / Datatronic terminal) or by connecting a compatible diagnostic tool (e.g., AGCO EDT, Jaltest, or Eclipse) to the tractor's diagnostic port.
Select the Component
Navigate to the TECU (Autotronic) calibration section and select the calibration for the 'Spool valve control lever' or 'Auxiliary Valve Switch 6'.
Perform Calibration
Follow the on-screen prompts. Move the switch/lever through its full range of motion (full extend, full retract, and float positions) and allow it to return to neutral so the TECU can learn the minimum, maximum, and neutral voltage values.
Save and Test
Save the calibration. If the calibration fails repeatedly or the sensor values are out of tolerance, the switch/joystick assembly is internally faulty and must be replaced.
Post-Replacement
If the switch is replaced, you must repeat this calibration procedure for the new part. Clear the fault codes and test the 6th remote valve for proper operation.

Armrest switch and valve block part numbers vary heavily depending on the exact tractor serial number and whether the machine uses fingertip controls or a multi-function joystick. Always verify the exact part number with an AGCO dealer using your VIN/Serial Number.
