   Visual & Mechanical Inspection: Check the hand throttle lever on the armrest for physical damage, binding, or excessive play.

   Wiring & Connector Check: Access the underside of the armrest console. Inspect the wiring harness and the connector at the hand throttle potentiometer for loose pins, chafed wires, or corrosion.

   Voltage Sweep Test: Using the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) or the tractor's dashboard diagnostic screen, monitor the live voltage data for the hand throttle. Slowly move the throttle from minimum to maximum. The voltage should scale smoothly; if the signal drops out to 0V or spikes erratically, the potentiometer has a dead spot and must be replaced.

   Calibration Attempt: Sometimes the sensor simply loses its learned limits. Attempt to run the hand throttle calibration procedure (often accessed via the dashboard using calibration code 4002 on AGCO/MF systems) to see if the MFA module can relearn the sensor's minimum and maximum voltage values.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor ignition and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Disassemble Armrest

   Carefully remove the trim panels and retaining screws on the Multi-Function Armrest to access the internal control components.

   Remove Faulty Sensor

   Locate the hand throttle assembly. Disconnect the electrical harness from the potentiometer switch. Remove the retaining screws/clips holding the sensor to the throttle lever mechanism.

   Install New Part

   Mount the new hand throttle potentiometer and secure it. Reconnect the wiring harness.

   Reassemble

   Put the armrest console back together and reconnect the battery.

   Calibrate

   Perform the hand throttle calibration procedure (via the AGCO EDT software or the tractor's onboard diagnostic terminal) so the MFA learns the new sensor's exact minimum and maximum voltage limits.

   Clear Codes

   Clear the 03.03.9D fault code and test the throttle operation.
