   Check module supply voltage by testing the battery, alternator output, and the specific power circuits feeding the TRANS module to rule out low voltage glitches.

   Inspect wiring harnesses and pin connectors at the Transmission ECU for corrosion, moisture ingress, or loose pins that could cause intermittent power drops or CAN bus errors.

   Check transmission fluid level and condition as a baseline for any transmission-related fault.

   Software Reflash/Update

   Connect the tractor to the official Massey Ferguson/AGCO dealer diagnostic tool (EDT). A qualified technician must attempt to reflash or update the transmission ECU with the latest software version.

   Module Replacement

   If the software update fails, the ECU refuses to take the programming, or the internal memory is physically corrupted, the Transmission Control Unit (TCU) must be replaced.

   Calibration

   If a new ECU is installed, it must be programmed with the tractor's specific configuration (Autotronic conversion programming) and the transmission clutches/valves must be recalibrated using the dealer tool.
