Massey Ferguson 04.00.EC – TRANS: Drive Pedal Not Calibrated (TRANS)

The transmission control system has detected that the drive pedal's position sensor (potentiometer) lacks valid calibration data.    Ensure the drive pedal assembly moves freely through its entire range of motion and is not obstructed by debris or a floor mat.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading from the drive pedal sensor to the Transmission ECU for damage, corrosion, or loose pins.

   Use the AGCO EDT (Electronic Diagnostic Tool) to monitor the live voltage/percentage sweep of the drive pedal potentiometer to see if it registers smooth, linear changes.

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the AGCO EDT or access the tractor's dashboard diagnostic menu (DCC software).

   Initiate calibration

   Navigate to the transmission calibration section and initiate the drive pedal calibration.

   Engage transmission

   Engage the transmission into the B range.

   Drive and stop

   Drive the tractor uphill slowly, and stop the tractor only by raising the drive pedal.

   Wait for standstill mode

   Wait until the tractor stops and enters 'active standstill mode.' (Note: Do not wait too long, or the tractor will enter passive standstill mode, which will fail the calibration).

   Change direction

   Change the driving direction using the shuttle lever. Do not touch any other drive controls (like the brakes or clutch).

   Finalize calibration

   Allow the tractor to move down the hill slightly as the direction changes to finalize the calibration.

   Replace sensor if needed

   If the calibration fails repeatedly or the code returns immediately, the drive pedal sensor is faulty and must be replaced, after which this calibration procedure must be repeated.
