   Check battery voltage and the wiring harness supplying power to the Transmission Control Unit for low supply voltage or poor grounds (look for accompanying codes like T130: Transmission Module Low Supply Voltage)

   Check for other active codes that might indicate a failed calibration rather than a dead module (e.g., 04.01.EC Drive Pedal Not Calibrated, 04.01.ED Clutch Pedal Not Calibrated, or 04.01.EE Transmission Calibration Issue)

   Connect the Massey Ferguson Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) to verify the current software version on the TCU and check if an OEM patch or update is available

   Clear and Retest

   Connect the diagnostic tool and attempt to clear the DTCs. Cycle the tractor's key power. If the code does not return, it may have been a transient voltage anomaly.

   Flash / Update Software

   If the code remains active, use the diagnostic tool to re-flash or update the Transmission Control Unit with the latest OEM software.

   Replace the Module

   If the software update fails, is rejected by the controller, or the code persists after a successful flash, the Transmission Control Unit has suffered an internal hardware/memory failure and must be replaced.

   Recalibrate

   After installing a new Transmission Control Unit, you must perform a full transmission calibration procedure (including the clutch pedal, drive pedal, and turbo clutch) using the diagnostic tool to marry the new module to the tractor.
