Massey Ferguson 04.01.EC – TRANS: Drive Pedal Not Calibrated (TRANS)

The transmission control system has lost the calibrated position values for the front drive pedal (accelerator/travel pedal), or the sensor is outputting a voltage that falls outside of its previously learned parameters.

   Inspect the front drive pedal assembly for physical obstructions, debris, or a broken return spring that might prevent the pedal from returning to its true resting position.

   Inspect the B15 Sensor (front drive pedal sensor/potentiometer) and its wiring harness for corroded pins at the connector or chafed wires leading to the transmission controller.

   Verify if other calibration codes are present (such as 04.01.ED for Clutch Pedal Not Calibrated), which might point to a broader transmission controller logic issue or a shared sensor ground fault.

   Perform a drive pedal calibration via the AGCO EDT (Electronic Diagnostic Tool) software.

   Navigate to the transmission diagnostic pages and run the automated calibration routine.

   Drive the tractor to a safe area with a slight incline/hill.

   This is the first step if performing the manual active standstill calibration procedure for the transmission.

   Engage the transmission into the B range.

   Drive uphill slowly, then stop the tractor only by raising/releasing the drive pedal.

   Do not use the brakes.

   Wait until the tractor comes to a complete stop to enter 'active standstill mode'.

   Do not wait too long, or the tractor will default into 'passive standstill mode,' which will interrupt the calibration.

   Change the driving direction using the shuttle lever.

   Do not touch any other drive controls or pedals.

   Allow the tractor to move down the hill slightly to register the calibration.

   Do this when the direction is changed.

   Restart the tractor to verify if the 04.01.EC code has cleared.

   If the code persists or calibration fails, the drive pedal sensor or pedal assembly must be replaced, followed by a repeat of the calibration.
