This condition indicates that the transmission fluid has exceeded its safe operating temperature threshold. If the sensor reading is completely out of bounds (e.g., greater than 150°C), it may also indicate a short or failure in the sensor itself.

   Check the transmission oil level and condition, as low fluid is a primary cause of overheating

   Halt Operation

   Immediately stop the engine and investigate the cause to prevent catastrophic transmission damage. Allow the transmission to cool down.

   If the transmission oil is low, top it up to the manufacturer's specified level with the correct OEM transmission fluid. If the fluid smells burnt or is heavily degraded, perform a complete fluid flush.

   If the hydraulic/transmission oil filter is old or blocked, replace it.

   Test/Replace the Sensor

   If the fluid level and filters are fine but the code persists (or if the diagnostic tool shows an impossible temperature reading like >150°C), the sensor is likely faulty. Remove the old transmission oil temperature sensor and install a new one.

   Connect a diagnostic tool to the tractor, clear the 04.02.53 fault code from the TRANS module, and test-drive the tractor to ensure the code does not return.
