Massey Ferguson 04.02.EC – TRANS (Transmission Control Module): Drive Pedal Not Calibrated

The transmission control system does not have valid calibration values for the drive pedal's minimum and maximum travel positions, or the previously stored calibration data has been lost or corrupted.

   Ensure there is no debris, dirt, or floor mat obstruction under the drive pedal preventing it from reaching its full range of motion.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connector going to the drive pedal inductive sensor for corrosion, moisture, or loose pins.

   Use a diagnostic tool to check if there are accompanying sensor voltage codes. If the sensor has failed entirely, calibration will not be possible until the sensor is replaced.

   Start tractor and engage B range

   Start the tractor and engage the B range.

   Drive uphill and stop

   Drive the tractor uphill slowly, then stop the tractor only by raising your foot off the drive pedal.

   Wait for complete stop

   Wait until the tractor comes to a complete stop (this is known as "active standstill mode"). Note: Do not wait too long, or the tractor will enter "passive standstill mode," which will interrupt the calibration.

   Change driving direction

   Change the driving direction using the shuttle lever. Do not touch any other drive controls (including the brakes or the drive pedal).

   Allow tractor to move down hill

   When the direction is changed, allow the tractor to move down the hill slightly. This completes the pedal's directional and standstill learning process.

   Alternative electronic calibration

   The calibration can also be triggered electronically using the AGCO EDT (Electronic Diagnostic Tool) software or via the tractor's SIS (System Information Screen) dashboard menus.
