   Verify the tractor's battery health, alternator output, and ensure the system is maintaining proper voltage (low voltage can cause module glitches).

   Inspect the wiring harness leading to the Transmission ECU for loose ground connections, corroded pins, or moisture ingress.

   Attempt to clear the DTC using a diagnostic tool or the tractor's onboard diagnostic menu to see if it was a temporary voltage drop.

   Power Cycle & Hard Reset

   Disconnect the tractor's battery cables (negative first, then positive). Leave them disconnected for 15-30 minutes to drain residual power from the ECUs. Reconnect and check if the code clears.

   Software Reflash

   Connect the Massey Ferguson Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT). A qualified technician must check for available software updates and reflash the Transmission ECU with the latest firmware.

   Module Replacement

   If the ECU refuses to accept a software flash, or if the internal memory is physically corrupted/damaged, the Transmission Control Unit must be replaced.

   Calibration

   If a new module is installed, it must be programmed to the tractor and the transmission clutches/valves must be recalibrated using the EDT tool.
