   Check battery voltage to ensure it is within specification

   Inspect the wiring harness and ground connections leading to the Transmission Control Unit for signs of low voltage, voltage spikes, or water ingress

   Connect the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) via a CANUSB adapter to the tractor's diagnostic port

   Read the active and stored DTCs, then attempt to clear the code to determine if it was a transient glitch

   Software Reflash

   Using the AGCO EDT software, check the current firmware version of the Transmission Control Unit. Apply any available software updates or reflash the module to overwrite the corrupted software.

   Module Replacement

   If the module will not accept the software update or the internal memory hardware has failed, the Transmission Control Unit must be physically replaced. Disconnect the battery, locate the existing module, unplug the harness, remove the unit, install the new control unit, and reconnect the harness.

   Programming and Calibration

   Use the AGCO EDT to program the new module to the tractor's specific VIN/serial number.

   Transmission Calibration

   Perform all required transmission calibrations (e.g., clutch modulation, range changes, and sensor calibrations) via the EDT to ensure smooth shifting and operation.
