   Check system voltage: Low battery voltage or a failing alternator can cause the transmission module to log false internal software or memory errors. Check for companion codes such as T130.

   Inspect CAN bus connections: Verify the wiring harness and connectors leading to the Autotronic 4 transmission controller. Ensure there is no corrosion or water ingress causing communication drops on the CAN network.

   Diagnostic tool verification: Connect the Massey Ferguson Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) to verify if the code is active or stored, and check the current software version of the TRANS module.

   Clear and Retest

   Use the dealer diagnostic tool to clear the DTCs. Cycle the tractor's key power and operate the transmission to see if the 04.03.EA code returns.

   Software Update (Re-flash)

   Re-flash the Transmission Control Module with the latest OEM software update using the Massey Ferguson EDT.

   Recalibration

   If the software update is successful, perform a full transmission calibration (including drive pedal and clutch pedal calibrations).

   Module Replacement

   If the transmission controller will not accept the software update, or if the internal memory is permanently corrupted (the code immediately returns), the Transmission Control Module must be physically replaced.

   Program New Module

   Install the new module, flash it with the correct software for the tractor's specific serial number and transmission type, and perform all required calibrations.
