Massey Ferguson 04.X.22 – TRANS: Issue With Signal Voltage From Foot Throttle Sensor (TRANS)
Issue description
The voltage read from the foot throttle sensor (accelerator pedal potentiometer) is out of the acceptable range (greater than 4.5V or lower than 0.5V). When this fault is active, the throttle may continue working in a limited mode, restricting the maximum throttle request available.

Check the cause
Use a multimeter to check the signal voltage coming from the foot throttle sensor. The normal operating range should be between 0.5V and 4.5V.
Check the wiring harness between the foot throttle sensor and the transmission controller. Look for broken wires, chafing, or loose pins in the connectors.
Test the sensor wiring for a short circuit to ground (which would pull voltage below 0.5V) or a short circuit to an external power source (which would push voltage above 4.5V).
Repair steps
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the electrical system.
Locate the foot throttle sensor assembly at the base of the accelerator pedal in the cab.
Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the sensor. Inspect the connector for corrosion or bent pins; clean if necessary.
If the wiring tested fine during diagnostics but the voltage was out of range, remove the mounting hardware securing the defective foot throttle sensor/pedal assembly and remove it.
Install the new foot throttle sensor and secure the mounting hardware.
Reconnect the electrical harness.
Reconnect the battery and turn the key to the ON position.
Use a specialized diagnostic tool (such as the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool) to clear the stored 04.X.22 DTC code from the transmission module.
Test the pedal operation to ensure the tractor responds correctly and the code does not return.
