Check the cause

  1. Inspect the C2 button for physical damage, sticking, or debris preventing it from returning to its neutral position

  2. Lift the armrest console cover and ensure the connector for the C2 button is securely plugged in and free of corrosion

  3. Use a multimeter to test the micro push button switch for proper electrical continuity when pressed and released

  4. Check the wiring harness running from the armrest to the Transmission controller for any shorts, chafing, or open circuits

Repair steps

  1. Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery

    to prevent electrical shorts.

  2. Carefully remove the trim or retaining screws on the right-hand Command Control armrest

to expose the underside of the switch panel.

  3. Locate the C2 cruise speed button and unplug its numbered electrical connector.

  4. Unclip or push out the faulty push button switch from its mounting hole in the console.

  5. Snap the new OEM push button switch into place.

  6. Reconnect the numbered wire plug to the new switch.

  7. Reassemble the armrest console trim.

  8. Reconnect the battery, turn on the tractor, and clear the DTC codes

using the tractor's diagnostic screen or a specialized diagnostic tool.

  9. Test the C2 button by pressing it and using the scroll wheel

to verify it correctly sets the highest gear for the autodrive system on the dash display.
