   Verify the battery voltage and the supply voltage reaching the transmission module, as low voltage can cause the software to glitch or fail to boot properly.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors at the Transmission Control Unit for corrosion, moisture intrusion, or loose pins that could interrupt CAN BUS communication or power.

   Connect a specialized dealer diagnostic tool (such as the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool or Bosch ESI[truck]) to retrieve the code and check if a factory software update or patch is available for the TRANS module.

   Software Flash/Update

   Use the dealer diagnostic tool to re-flash or update the Transmission Control Unit to the latest software version provided by AGCO.

   Module Replacement

   If the module will not accept the software update or has suffered an internal hardware failure that corrupts the software, physically replace the Transmission Control Unit (TCU / Autotronic controller).

   Mandatory Calibration

   Perform a transmission/Power Shuttle calibration. Calibration is mandatory when the transmission controller is changed or updated to optimize shifting quality and ensure smooth operation.

   Clear Codes

   Use the diagnostic tool to clear the 04.X.EA DTC and test drive the tractor to ensure the code does not return.
