Check the cause
Use a specialized Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to retrieve the active DTCs and confirm 05.01.53 is present.
Locate the Diff Lock Solenoid on the Dyna VT transmission valve block and inspect the wiring harness and electrical connector for physical damage, corrosion, or loose pins.
Use a multimeter to test the wiring between the TRANS1 module and the solenoid for continuity, open circuits, or a short to ground/power.
Measure the resistance of the Diff Lock Solenoid coil to see if it has failed internally (e.g., an open coil) and is out of OEM specification.
Repair steps
Safely park the tractor, engage the parking brake, and turn off the engine.

If the diagnostic checks revealed damaged wiring, repair or replace the affected section of the transmission wiring harness.
If the diagnostic checks revealed damaged wiring, repair or replace the affected section of the transmission wiring harness.
If the solenoid itself is faulty, remove the retaining hardware and slide the old solenoid coil off the valve stem (or remove the entire cartridge valve, depending on the specific valve block iteration).
