Massey Ferguson 05.02.55 – TRANS1: Issue With Right Brake Pedal Switch Signal Dyna VT

Issue description

The transmission controller is detecting an irregular, missing, or implausible electrical signal from the right brake pedal switch.

Inspect the right brake pedal linkage to ensure the switch is not physically stuck, broken, or misaligned due to debris or vibration.
Inspect the electrical connector and wiring harness leading to the switch for corrosion or loose pins caused by dust and moisture exposure.
Use a multimeter to test the switch's internal contacts for continuity, verifying that the circuit opens and closes reliably when the pedal is cycled.
Use the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) or WinTest software to monitor the digital input state of the right brake pedal switch to see if the TRANS1 module is receiving the signal.

Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and engage the parking brake.
Locate the right brake pedal switch under the dashboard console, directly adjacent to the right brake pedal linkage.
Carefully disconnect the electrical wiring harness from the switch.
Loosen the mounting hardware (typically retaining nuts on a threaded body) and remove the faulty switch from the bracket.
Install the new replacement switch.
Adjust the threaded body so that the plunger makes proper contact with the pedal arm—proper positioning is essential for reliable activation.
Tighten the mounting hardware and plug the electrical connector back in.
Start the tractor and test the brake indicator lights and the Dyna-VT "Brake to Neutral" function to ensure the system registers the pedal movement.
Clear the 05.02.55 fault code using your diagnostic tool or the tractor's onboard dashboard menu.
