Massey Ferguson 05.02.80 – Suspension Module (SUSPENSION) / Autotronic 5: Issue With Front Axle Calibration Stored In Suspension Module Dyna VT (SUSPENSION)
Issue description
This code indicates that the calibration data for the suspended front axle is either missing, corrupted, or out of tolerance within the suspension module. The system cannot accurately determine the position of the front axle, which disables or limits the active suspension functionality.

Check the cause
Check the front axle suspension system for any hydraulic leaks at the accumulators or rams.
Inspect the front axle position sensor for physical damage, loose mounting hardware, or improper adjustment.
Inspect the wiring harness between the front axle position sensor and the Autotronic 5 suspension module for open circuits, short circuits to +12V, or short circuits to earth.
Ensure that the suspension travel is not physically restricted.
Repair steps
Park tractor
Park the tractor on a level surface and ensure the engine is running.
Purge system
Activate the front axle suspension system manually several times, making it move from the lowest position to the highest position and vice versa. This purges the system and verifies there are no leaks or physical binds.
Initiate calibration
Initiate the calibration procedure. (On many models, this is done by holding the front axle suspension button until the indicator light flashes. Release it, press and hold until the axle reaches the top, release again, then press the off button until it reaches the bottom and release. The axle will then set itself between the stops).
Verify calibration start
The 'suspended front axle' indicator light on the dash will flash to indicate that the calibration procedure has started.
Wait for completion
Wait for the calibration to finish. The 'suspended front axle' indicator light will stop flashing once calibration is complete.
Adjust sensor if needed
If the controller remains in calibration mode (light keeps flashing), it means the stop values are outside the allowed tolerances or the suspension travel is too low. If this happens, you must physically adjust the position sensor more accurately and restart the calibration.
