   Check for related codes (such as FA 133, FA 134, FA 135, or FA 136) that indicate the Suspended Front Axle Position Sensor (X166/X167) is failing or shorting out.

   Physically inspect the front axle position sensor (X166/X167) and its wiring harness for damage, corrosion, or disconnected plugs.

   Verify mechanical movement by ensuring the front axle suspension ram and parallelogram linkage can move freely without mechanical binding, which could prevent successful calibration.

   Build hydraulic pressure

   Start the tractor and ensure hydraulic pressure is built up.

   Initiate calibration

   Press and hold the front axle suspension button on the console until the indicator light begins to flash, then release it.

   Raise axle to top stop

   Press the button again and hold it until the front axle raises completely to its top mechanical stop, then release.

   Lower axle to bottom stop

   Press the 'off' (or down) button and hold it until the axle lowers completely to its bottom mechanical stop, then release.

   Complete calibration

   The system should now automatically set itself to the middle position between the two stops, completing the calibration.

   Replace sensor if calibration fails

   If the calibration repeatedly fails, the position sensor is likely defective and must be replaced, followed by repeating the calibration steps above.
