Massey Ferguson 06.00.11 – TRANS1: Issue With Signal From Auto PTO Button Dyna VT (TRANS1)
Issue description
The onboard diagnostic system has detected an irregularity, malfunction, or loss of signal from the Auto Power Take-Off (PTO) button. This typically indicates that the switch is failing to send the correct voltage signal to the controller, which can be caused by worn internal contacts (often due to electrical arcing from high-load implements), a stuck button, or a wiring fault.

Check the cause
Check the Auto PTO button on the console to see if it feels 'dead,' fails to hold its position, or is physically stuck
Access the back of the switch and inspect the wiring harness for loose connections, corrosion, or damaged wires
Using a multimeter, test the switch for continuity when pressed to verify that the correct signal voltage is being sent to the TRANS1 controller
If the switch feels loose or fails the continuity test, suspect internal failure of the heavy-duty contacts due to electrical arcing
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the electrical system.
Access the Switch
Carefully remove the side console trim or armrest panel where the Auto PTO button is mounted.
Disconnect
Unplug the electrical wiring harness connector from the back of the faulty PTO switch.
Remove
Depress the retaining tabs on the switch body and push it out of the mounting panel.
Install
Snap the new direct-replacement OEM switch into the panel.
Reconnect
Plug the wiring harness into the new switch, ensuring the connector clicks securely into place.
Reassemble
Reinstall the console trim/armrest panel.
Clear Codes & Test
Reconnect the battery. Use a specialized diagnostic tool to clear the 06.00.11 DTC from the TRANS1 module. Start the tractor and test the Auto PTO engagement to confirm the repair.
