The transmission controller is detecting a loss of communication, an implausible signal, or a CAN BUS message error originating specifically from the PTO 1000 ECO engagement button.

   Verify the tractor's battery voltage is healthy. Low voltage or voltage spikes can cause CAN BUS nodes to drop offline or send corrupted messages.

   Inspect the PTO 1000 ECO button on the cab console/fender. Check for physical damage, sticking, or liquid intrusion.

   Disconnect the PTO switch and inspect the harness connector for pushed-out pins, corrosion, or moisture.

   Using a multimeter, check the CAN High and CAN Low lines at the switch connector for proper voltage (typically around 2.5V to 2.7V for CAN High and 2.3V to 2.5V for CAN Low) and verify the network terminating resistance (approx. 60 ohms across the bus with the battery disconnected).

   Check for related codes. If multiple CAN BUS codes are present (e.g., codes for the 540 ECO button or Neutral button), the issue is likely a shared harness wire or a broader CAN network fault rather than the switch itself.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shorts and CAN network spikes.

   Access the Switch

   Carefully pry up or unscrew the trim panel on the right-hand armrest/console where the PTO speed selection buttons are housed.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the electrical connector from the back of the PTO 1000 ECO switch.

   Harness Repair (If Applicable)

   If the diagnostic checks revealed a broken wire or corroded connector pin, repair the wiring harness using OEM-approved weatherproof splices or replace the pigtail connector.

   Replace the Switch

   If the wiring is intact, the internal CAN node/contacts of the switch have failed. Depress the retaining tabs on the side of the old switch to push it out of the console bezel. Snap the new switch into place.

   Reassembly

   Reconnect the wiring harness to the new switch and reinstall the console trim panel.

   Clear Codes

   Reconnect the battery. Connect a diagnostic tool to the tractor's OBD/diagnostic port to clear the 06.00.B9 historical fault code.

   Start the tractor and engage the PTO 1000 ECO mode to verify the transmission controller receives the signal and the code does not return.
