Massey Ferguson 06.01.19 – TRANS1: Issue With Signal From PTO 1000 ECO Button Dyna VT (TRANS1)
Issue description
The transmission controller is receiving an invalid, missing, or out-of-range electrical signal from the button used to select the 1000 ECO (Economy) PTO speed. This usually points to a failed switch, a wiring issue between the switch and the controller, or a CAN BUS communication error from the switch panel.

Check the cause
Inspect the PTO 1000 ECO button on the side console for physical damage, sticking, or debris preventing it from making proper contact.
Remove the console trim to access the back of the switch. Inspect the wiring harness and connector for loose pins, chafed wires, or corrosion.
Use a multimeter to test the switch for proper continuity when the button is pressed and released. Verify that the switch is receiving reference voltage from the module.
Connect a diagnostic tool to the tractor's OBD port. Access the TRANS1 module and monitor the live data stream for the PTO switches. Press the 1000 ECO button and see if the state changes on the diagnostic tool. If it does not change but the wiring is intact, the switch is likely faulty.
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shorts.
Access the Switch
Carefully pry up or unscrew the right-hand console trim panel that houses the PTO speed selection buttons.
Disconnect
Unplug the electrical wiring harness connector from the back of the faulty PTO 1000 ECO switch.
Remove the Switch
Depress the retaining tabs on the sides of the switch body and push it upward/outward to remove it from the console panel.
Install the New Part
Snap the new OEM PTO switch into the panel until the retaining clips lock it into place.
Reconnect
Plug the electrical connector back into the switch, ensuring it clicks securely.
Reassemble
Reinstall the console trim panel.
Test
Reconnect the battery. Turn the key on, clear the 06.01.19 fault code using a diagnostic tool, and test the PTO 1000 ECO engagement to ensure the code does not return and the PTO operates correctly.
