Check the cause
Connect a specialized diagnostic tool (such as the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool - EDT) to the tractor's diagnostic port to retrieve and confirm the active 06.01.E1 code.
Check if the transmission module is communicating properly with the CAN BUS system or if it has become unresponsive (bricked) due to a software crash.
Verify that the transmission module is receiving proper supply voltage, as low voltage can sometimes trigger internal module errors (check for accompanying codes like T130).
Repair steps
Software Flash/Update
Using the AGCO EDT (Electronic Diagnostic Tool), check for available software updates for the transmission module.
Reprogram the Module
Apply the latest software package to the Armrest and Transmission controllers. Note: ensure the diagnostic tool is updated to the latest version before attempting the flash.
Clear Codes and Test
Once the flash is complete, clear the DTCs and cycle the tractor's power to see if the code returns.
Module Replacement
If the transmission module will not accept the software flash, remains unresponsive, or flags a hard internal failure (such as accompanying code T259), the physical transmission controller must be replaced and programmed by an authorized dealer.
