Massey Ferguson 06.03.19 – TRANS1: Issue With Signal From PTO 1000 ECO Button Dyna VT (TRANS1)

This code indicates that the transmission control unit is receiving an irregular, missing, or implausible electrical signal from the button used to engage the 1000 ECO PTO speed.    Check the PTO 1000 ECO button on the armrest/side console for physical damage, sticking, or debris that might be holding the button down.

   Remove the switch and use a multimeter to test for proper continuity when the button is pressed and released. A switch that reads closed continuously has failed mechanically.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the PTO switch and the TRANS1 controller. Look for signs of chafing, corrosion, or loose pins that could cause an open or short circuit.

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the tractor's battery to ensure safety and prevent electrical shorts during the repair.

   Access the Switch

   Carefully pry up or remove the trim/console panel on the right-hand armrest that houses the PTO control switches.

   Unplug the electrical connector from the back of the faulty PTO 1000 ECO switch.

   Depress the retaining clips on the sides of the switch body and push it up and out of the console panel.

   Insert the new replacement PTO switch into the panel until the retaining clips click securely into place.

   Reconnect

   Plug the electrical harness back into the new switch and reinstall the console panel.

   Clear Codes

   Reconnect the battery, turn the ignition on, and use a diagnostic service tool or the tractor's instrument panel display to clear the stored 06.03.19 fault code.
