The transmission controller is detecting a mismatch between the physical rotational speed of the Power Take-Off (PTO) shaft (read by the PTO speed sensor) and the expected speed based on the position of the PTO speed selector switch in the cab.

   Verify sensor adjustment and tone wheel: Check the sensor's physical adjustment/clearance and inspect the internal tone wheel for damage or built-up debris disrupting the inductive signal.

   Verify switch operation: Ensure the PTO speed selector switch and engagement switches are functioning correctly and not sending a faulty signal to the TRANS2 module.

   Position tractor and disconnect battery

   Position the tractor on flat ground and disconnect the battery to protect the electronic systems.

   Locate PTO speed sensor

   Locate the PTO speed sensor (access can be tight near the rear PTO shaft housing).

   Clean mounting area and connector

   Thoroughly clean the mounting area and the electrical connector to prevent dirt from entering the housing or contaminating the new connection.

   Replace and adjust sensor

   Remove the faulty sensor and install the replacement, ensuring it is adjusted to the correct depth/clearance as specified for your specific model.

   Reconnect wiring and battery

   Reconnect the wiring harness and the battery.
