   Inspect the wiring harness and the connector at the PTO ECO speed solenoid for corrosion, moisture, or loose pins

   Test the solenoid coil for proper resistance to determine if the internal windings have burned out or shorted

   Check the hydraulic fluid and filter for severe contamination, which can cause internal valve components to stick and force the solenoid to overwork

   Depressurize

   Relieve all hydraulic pressure from the system.

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical shorts during the repair.

   Remove the Valve

   Unplug the electrical connector and unbolt the faulty PTO solenoid control valve from the transmission housing.

   Clean and Prep

   Clean the mounting surface thoroughly to ensure no dirt enters the hydraulic system.

   Install the New Valve

   Mount the new solenoid valve, ensuring the seals are properly seated.

   Reconnect and Service

   Reconnect the electrical harness. It is highly recommended to change the hydraulic filter at this time if the old valve was sticking due to contamination.
