   Retrieve active codes using a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic interface tool to confirm if 06.X.1E is active or stored.

   Inspect the wiring harness connecting the Hitch controller to the PTO solenoid for shorts, breaks, or corrosion.

   Consult OEM electrical diagrams (e.g., connector identification from X1 to X500) in the service manual to trace the PTO circuit.

   Disconnect battery

   Disconnect the tractor's battery isolator before servicing the electrical system.

   Locate components

   Locate the PTO solenoid valve and the Hitch controller module.

   Inspect and test

   Inspect and test the PTO solenoid and the 12V relay supplying power to the circuit.

   Replace faulty component
