   Test CAN Bus Wiring: Test the twisted-pair CAN bus wiring between the X294 switch and the TRANS1 (Autotronic 4/5) controller. Look for chafing, shorts to ground, or open circuits.

   Check for Related Codes: Verify if other PTO switch codes are present (e.g., 06.X.B8 for the 1000 PTO button or 06.X.B9 for the 1000 ECO button). If multiple switch codes are logged simultaneously, the issue is likely a shared ground or a main CAN bus harness failure rather than the switch itself.

   Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical spikes on the CAN network during repair.

   Carefully remove the trim panels on the right-hand armrest or side console to expose the PTO switch panel wiring.
