   Inspect the wiring harness running from the TRANS1 module to the rear PTO solenoid on the transmission valve block for chafed wires, broken lines, or corroded connector pins

   With the tractor running and the PTO switch engaged, use a multimeter to verify if the correct operating voltage is reaching the solenoid connector

   Measure the resistance across the pins of the PTO solenoid coil (should be around 10 Ohms). If it reads open (infinite resistance) or is shorted to ground, the solenoid is faulty

   Check the tractor's fuse panel for any blown fuses or faulty relays associated with the transmission control and PTO circuits

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts during repair.

   Locate the Solenoid

   Locate the Rear PTO On/Off Solenoid Valve on the transmission's hydraulic control block (usually located on the side or rear of the transmission housing).

   Disconnect Harness

   Carefully unplug the electrical connector from the faulty PTO solenoid.

   Remove the Solenoid

   Remove the retaining nut or bolt securing the solenoid coil or the entire cartridge valve to the block. Extract the valve, being prepared for a small amount of hydraulic fluid loss.

   Install New Part

   Lubricate the O-rings on the new OEM solenoid valve with clean hydraulic fluid. Insert the new valve into the block and torque the retaining hardware to the manufacturer's specification.

   Reassemble

   Reconnect the electrical wiring harness to the new solenoid.

   Clear Codes & Test

   Reconnect the battery. Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to clear the 06.X.E3 fault code from the TRANS1 module. Start the tractor and test the rear PTO engagement to ensure the issue is resolved.
