Massey Ferguson 08.0.B6 – Rear Hitch Module: Rear Hitch Module Internal Issue, Lost Calibration (HITCH)
Issue description
The tractor's onboard diagnostic system has detected that the electronic draft control or rear linkage system has lost its stored calibration values. This means the module no longer knows the precise upper and lower limits of the 3-point hitch travel, or the baseline electrical currents required to operate the raise/lower solenoids.

Check the cause
Check for accompanying codes for hitch position sensors, depth control dials, or raise/lower solenoids.
Verify power and ground by checking battery health, alternator output, and inspecting the wiring harness/connectors to the Rear Hitch Module for corrosion or loose pins.
Check fender switches by ensuring rear fender buttons are communicating (wake sequence: Up, Down, Up, Down, then hold Up).
Repair steps
Prepare the Tractor
Attach a moderate weight (approximately 400 kg / 900 lbs) to the rear 3-point linkage. Ensure the weight is suspended and does not touch the ground during the lower travel limit.
Warm Up
Start the engine and allow the hydraulic fluid to reach normal operating temperature.
Cycle the Hitch
Operate the main linkage control lever the entire length of its travel (fully up, then fully down) to ensure the system is physically responding before initiating the calibration.
Enter Calibration Mode
Access the tractor's diagnostic menu via the dash panel or connect the AGCO diagnostic tool.
Run the Automated Sequence
The calibration process will automatically define the high and low mechanical stops, measure the position sensor signals for precision, and record the electrical current required to open the raise and lower solenoid valves.
Save and Exit
Once the routine finishes (usually takes about 1 minute), cycle the key off to save the parameters to the module's memory. If the calibration repeatedly fails or the code immediately returns after a battery disconnect, the Rear Hitch Module has suffered an internal memory failure and must be replaced.
Parts you might need
(1)Rear Hitch Control Module / Electronic Draft Control (EDC) Unit
Specific part numbers are restricted to the AGCO parts catalog and require the tractor's specific serial number. If the module is replaced, the new blank module must be calibrated to the tractor using the procedure above before the 3-point hitch will function.
