Issue description
The electronic control system has detected an abnormal voltage condition—such as a voltage drop, over-voltage, or unstable power supply—on the circuit powering the rear hitch control system.

Check the cause
Battery Test: Use a multimeter to check the resting battery voltage. A fully charged battery should read around 12.6V. Low voltage can trigger module errors.
Alternator/Charging System Check: Ensure the alternator and voltage regulator are functioning properly while the engine is running (should output around 14V).
Inspect Multi-Pin Connectors: Check the external multi-pin plugs that route through the cab floor to the rear linkage. These are highly susceptible to dirt, moisture, and corrosion, which cause voltage drops.
Check Fuses and Relays: Inspect the fuses supplying power to the hitch module (often located below the PTO lever or in the main cab fuse panel).
Test Solenoid Voltage: Manually test the voltage at the rear lift/lower solenoids on top of the rock shaft to see if the module is successfully sending power to the valves.
Repair steps
Clean Connections
Disconnect the battery. Unplug the main harness connectors going to the Rear Hitch Module and the rear solenoids. Clean the pins with electrical contact cleaner and ensure the screw collars are tight upon reassembly.
Resolve Power Supply Issues
If the battery is failing to hold a 12.6V charge or the alternator is failing to charge the system, replace the defective charging component.
Clear Lockouts
Sometimes the hitch module enters a safety lockout if voltage drops unexpectedly. Cycle the up/down rocker switch after startup to clear the lockout.
Replace the Module
If the wiring harness is intact, the pins are clean, and the supply voltage from the battery/alternator is perfect, the Rear Hitch Module itself has likely suffered an internal failure and must be replaced. Note: A new module may require dealer calibration using an AGCO diagnostic tool.
