Check the cause
Inspect the electrical connector at the left lower link draft pin for moisture intrusion and corrosion.
Verify that the sensor is receiving its 8.5V reference supply from the HITCH module.
Check the ground and signal return wires for continuity or shorts to ground.
Perform a swap test by exchanging the left and right draft pins. If the fault code changes to 08.00.50 (right pin), the pin itself has failed internally. If the code remains 08.00.32, the issue is in the wiring harness or the HITCH module.
Repair steps
Support the Linkage
Lower the three-point hitch completely and safely support the left lower lift arm to remove tension from the draft pin.
Disconnect
Clean the area around the pin to prevent dirt ingress, then carefully disconnect the electrical harness from the left draft sensor pin.
Remove the Pin
Remove the retaining hardware (usually a locking bolt, retaining plate, or snap ring) securing the draft pin to the tractor chassis. Slide the old draft pin out of the bore.
Install the New Sensor
Clean the bore thoroughly. Slide the new draft sensor pin into place and secure it with the retaining hardware.
Reconnect
Apply dielectric grease to the electrical connector to prevent future moisture intrusion and plug it into the new sensor.
Calibration
Perform a hitch calibration procedure (usually done via the tractor's dashboard screen or a dealer diagnostic tool). The HITCH module needs to learn the 'zero-load' baseline voltage of the new sensor for the draft control to function accurately.
