Issue description
The Rear Hitch Module has detected an irregular, missing, or out-of-range electrical signal from the right-hand draft sensor pin (also known as the load sensing pin or effort sensor). This sensor uses internal strain gauges to measure the mechanical force (draft) exerted by the implement on the lower right link arm. When the signal fails, the electronic draft control system cannot accurately determine the implement's load or depth, causing the 3-point hitch to behave erratically (e.g., plunging too deep or skating over the ground).

Check the cause
Inspect the right draft pin and its 3-pin electrical connector for physical damage, moisture, dirt, or fertilizer ingress
Disconnect the sensor and test the harness side with a multimeter: Pin A is Ground, Pin B is Signal Input, and Pin C is a 5V Power Supply
Check for mechanical binding by ensuring the lower link arm is not seized or binding on the pin, and check for excessive wear at connection points
Repair steps
Preparation
Lower the 3-point hitch completely to the ground to remove all tension and load from the lower link arms. Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery.
Disconnect Electronics
Carefully unplug the 3-pin electrical connector from the right draft pin sensor. Clean away any packed dirt or debris around the pin bore.
Remove the Pin
Support the right lower link arm. Remove the retaining hardware (usually a locking bolt, retaining plate, or snap ring) that secures the draft pin in the tractor chassis.
Extraction
Slide the old draft pin out of the bore. If it is seized, use penetrating oil and tap it out gently—avoid damaging the bore housing.
Installation
Clean and lightly lubricate the bore. Insert the new load sensing pin. Ensure it is oriented correctly (many pins have a specific alignment flat or keyway so the strain gauge measures force in the correct horizontal plane).
Reassembly
Reinstall the retaining hardware and torque to OEM specifications. Reconnect the 3-pin electrical connector.
Calibration
After replacing a draft pin, the Rear Hitch Module must be recalibrated so the system learns the new sensor's zero-load baseline voltage. This is typically done via the tractor's dashboard diagnostic menu or a dealer service tool.
