Massey Ferguson 08.02.32 – HITCH: Issue With Signal From Rear Hitch Left Draft Pin (HITCH)
Issue description
The system is receiving an erratic, out-of-range, or missing signal from the left-side draft pin sensor. When this sensor fails, the tractor's electronic draft control will typically enter a degraded mode, relying solely on the right draft pin to operate.

Check the cause
Inspect the left draft pin connector and harness for physical damage, dirt, or moisture ingress.
Perform a multimeter pinout test on the harness side (Pin A: Ground, Pin B: Signal input, Pin C: 8.5V Power supply).
Check continuity for power and ground, and verify the signal wire (Pin B) back to the HITCH module to rule out a broken wire or short circuit.
Perform a swap test by temporarily swapping the left and right draft pin connections. If the fault code changes to the right side (08.02.50), the sensor has failed internally.
Repair steps
Relieve Pressure
Lower the rear hitch fully to the ground. If an implement is attached, safely support it or remove it entirely to relieve all tension on the lower link arms.
Disconnect Power
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery.
Disconnect Sensor
Unplug the 3-pin electrical connector from the faulty left draft pin.
Remove Hardware
Remove the retaining bolt or locking ring that secures the draft pin to the hitch housing and lower link arm.
Extract Pin
Slide the faulty draft pin out of the linkage. You may need to wiggle the lift arm to relieve binding.
Clean and Install
Clean the bore in the hitch housing. Insert the new draft pin, ensuring the pin is oriented correctly (usually keyed with a flat or notch) so the internal strain gauges are positioned to measure horizontal draft force accurately.
Reassemble
Reinstall the retaining hardware and reconnect the electrical harness.
Calibrate
Clear the fault codes using a compatible diagnostic tool. Perform a hitch calibration procedure via the tractor's instrument panel or diagnostic tool so the HITCH module can learn the zero-load baseline of the new sensor.
