Issue description
The control system is receiving an erratic, out-of-range, or missing electrical signal from the right-side draft pin sensor.

Check the cause
Monitor Live Data: If your tractor is equipped with an electrohydraulic diagnostic screen, navigate to the hitch system view screens. Look for the 'R DRAFT' value (Software count right load pin) to see if the signal is completely dead, stuck, or fluctuating erratically compared to the 'L DRAFT' (left pin).
Inspect the Wiring Harness: The draft pin sensor utilizes a 3-pin connector. Verify the wiring integrity at the right draft pin (Pin A: Ground circuit, Pin B: Signal input, Pin C: Power supply).
Test for Voltage and Continuity: Disconnect the sensor and turn the key ON. Verify that Pin C has power and Pin A has a solid ground. Check Pin B for continuity back to the HITCH module and ensure it is not shorted to ground or power.
Physical Inspection: Check the connector for water ingress, corrosion, or pushed-out pins, as the draft pins are located low on the tractor and are highly susceptible to mud and debris.
Repair steps
Relieve Pressure
Lower the three-point hitch completely to the ground and ensure no implement is attached to remove all mechanical tension from the lower link arms.
Disconnect Battery
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts during the repair.
Disconnect the Sensor
Unplug the 3-pin wiring harness from the right draft pin.
Remove the Pin
Remove the retaining bolt/hardware that secures the draft pin to the tractor's rear axle bracket.
Extract the Old Pin
Slide the faulty draft pin out of the lower link arm pivot. (Note: You may need to support the lower link arm to relieve binding).
Install the New Pin
Insert the new draft pin. Crucial: Draft pins are directional. Ensure the alignment marks (usually an arrow or a specific notch) are facing the correct direction as specified by the OEM to accurately measure the pulling force.
Reassembly
Reinstall the retaining hardware and reconnect the 3-pin wiring harness.
Calibration
Reconnect the battery. Clear the DTCs using a compatible diagnostic tool. You will likely need to perform a rear hitch calibration procedure so the HITCH module can learn the zero-load baseline voltage of the new sensor.
