   System Voltage Check: Verify that the tractor's battery is fully charged and the alternator is outputting the correct voltage. Low system voltage during cranking or operation can trigger false module voltage codes.

   Harness Inspection: Inspect the wiring harness leading to the Rear Hitch Module. Look for rub points, pinched wires, or damaged insulation that could cause a short to ground or short to power.

   Connector Integrity: Disconnect the main harness at the Rear Hitch Module. Check for pushed-out pins, corrosion, or moisture inside the connector.

   Ground and Power Test: Using a multimeter, verify that the module is receiving proper power (12V) and has a clean, solid ground connection. Poor ground integrity is a leading cause of module voltage issues.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor, engage the parking brake, and disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical spikes.

   Wiring Repair

   If the diagnostic checks revealed damaged wiring or corroded connector pins, repair the harness using OEM-approved waterproof splices or replace the damaged connector pigtail.

   Module Replacement

   If the power and ground circuits test perfectly but the code persists, the Rear Hitch Module has likely suffered an internal failure. Locate the Rear Hitch Module (typically mounted under the right-hand cab console or rear cab panel, depending on the exact model). Unbolt the module bracket and disconnect the wiring harnesses. Install the new module and secure the mounting hardware.

   Reconnection and Calibration

   Reconnect the battery. Note that installing a new Rear Hitch Module will likely require a dealer diagnostic tool to flash the correct software parameters and perform a rear hitch calibration (setting the upper and lower limits of the draft arms).
