Check the cause

  1. Check the wiring harness and electrical connectors at External Hydraulic Valve 1 for corrosion, damage, or loose connections

  2. Use a diagnostic interface device to monitor the live data for the 'Spool Position Sensor Value' on Valve 1 to see if the sensor is reading out of range or is unresponsive

  3. Attempt to perform a hydraulic valve calibration procedure via the tractor's diagnostic system

Repair steps

  1. Repair or replace wiring

Repairing or replacing damaged wiring/connectors at the valve.

  2. Replace sensor or valve assembly

Replacing the spool position sensor or the entire External Hydraulic Valve 1 assembly if internal mechanical failure or sensor failure has occurred.

  3. Clear DTCs and calibrate valve

Clearing the DTCs and running a mandatory valve calibration using the Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool.
