0A.13.1B

Massey Ferguson 0A.13.1B – Dash / Mid Mount Valve Module: External Hydraulic Valve 1 Issue

Issue description

Malfunction or communication failure associated with the first external hydraulic remote valve (spool valve). The underlying condition is typically related to a connection problem on the hydraulic valve, an issue with the spool position sensor value, or a lack of communication between the control modules.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to External Hydraulic Valve 1 for corrosion, damage, or loose connections

  2. Check the spool position sensor value using a compatible diagnostic tool to ensure it is reading correctly

  3. Verify that there is proper communication between the Dash and the Mid Mount Valve Module

Repair steps

  1. Locate the Valve

Identify External Hydraulic Valve 1, which is typically located on the rear remote stack or directly on the hydraulic lift cover (under the seat).

  2. Disconnect Power

Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery before working on electronic hydraulic components.

  3. Remove and Inspect

If the issue is electronic (e.g., 6600/7600/7700 series), remove the electric spool valve control switch or sensor and test it. If the issue is mechanical/hydraulic, remove the bolts securing the cap on the hydraulic lift cover and detach the valve from the standpipe.

  4. Replace Faulty Component

Install the new spool valve, sensor, or selector valve. If installing a base plate or selector valve, ensure the standpipe is correctly located into its seat on the hydraulic pump.

  5. Reassemble and Test

Secure the valve with the mounting bolts, reconnect all hydraulic lines and electrical connectors, and clear the DTC using a compatible diagnostic tool. Test the hydraulic function to ensure the code does not return.
