   Locate External Hydraulic Valve 1 at the rear remote valve stack for visual inspection.

   Inspect the 4-pin electrical connector on the electro-hydraulic spool valve. Look for corrosion, pushed-out pins, or damaged wiring harness leads.

   Use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to retrieve the code and monitor the live voltage/current going to Valve 1 when the rocker switch or joystick is actuated.

   Depressurize

   Turn off the tractor and cycle the hydraulic remote controls to relieve any trapped pressure in the system.

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Disconnect Valve

   Unplug the 4-pin electrical connector from the faulty External Hydraulic Valve 1.

   Remove Valve

   Unbolt the electro-hydraulic spool valve assembly from the hydraulic block/stack. Be prepared to catch residual hydraulic fluid.

   Install New Valve

   Mount the replacement electro-hydraulic spool valve, ensuring all O-rings and seals are properly seated. Torque the mounting bolts to OEM specifications.

   Reconnect

   Plug the 4-pin electrical connector back into the new valve.

   Clear Codes

   Reconnect the battery, start the tractor, check for leaks, and use a diagnostic tool to clear the 0A.13.24 fault code.
