Massey Ferguson 0A.13.26 – Hydraulic Valve Module / Mid Mount Valve Module or Autotronic module: External Hydraulic Valve 1 Issue

Indicates a malfunction, connection problem, or sensor reading error associated with the first remote hydraulic spool valve (External Valve 1). This can result in the remote hydraulics becoming slow, weak, or completely unresponsive (dead).

   Check hydraulic and transmission oil for contamination (dirt or debris) and inspect filters for blockages.

   Inspect the electrical wiring harness and connectors going to External Hydraulic Valve 1 for corrosion or loose connections.

   Verify the spool position sensor values using a diagnostic tool to check for sensor reading errors.

   Mechanically inspect the spool valve detents for rust, which can cause levers to stick or become impossible to move.

   Check for internal hydraulic leaks, such as damaged O-rings, leaking control valves, or faulty check valves.

   Relieve Pressure

   Ensure the tractor is turned off, the implement is lowered to the ground, and all hydraulic pressure is relieved from the system before beginning work.

   Service Basics First

   If the oil is contaminated or filters are blocked, drain the hydraulic fluid, replace the hydraulic/transmission filters, and refill with clean, OEM-specified hydraulic fluid. Clear the code and retest.

   Clean and Repair Connections

   If the wiring harness to Valve 1 is corroded or loose, clean the pins with contact cleaner, ensure a tight fit, and secure the wiring.

   Valve Replacement

   If the spool valve detents are heavily rusted or the internal solenoids/sensors have failed, the valve must be replaced. Disconnect the electrical harness and hydraulic lines (cap them immediately). Unbolt the valve assembly, install the new valve assembly with new O-rings, and reconnect hydraulic lines and the electrical harness.

   Calibration

   After replacing the valve or sensors, use a compatible Massey Ferguson diagnostic tool to clear the DTCs and recalibrate the hydraulic valve module.
