   Locate the external hydraulic valve stack (usually at the rear of the tractor or mid-mounted depending on the loader configuration). Identify Valve Slice 1.

   Clean and Inspect

   Disconnect the electrical connector to the valve's solenoid and position sensor. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner. Reconnect and test the tractor to see if the code clears.

   Component Replacement

   If the code persists and the wiring is sound, the electric spool slice or its integrated sensor/solenoid has failed.

   Remove the Spool Slice

   Unbolt the tie-rods/retaining bolts holding the hydraulic valve stack together. Carefully slide out the faulty Electric Spool Slice 1, ensuring no dirt enters the hydraulic system.

   Install the New Valve

   Install the replacement electric spool slice using new O-rings between the slices. Torque the stack retaining bolts to OEM specifications.

   Reassembly

   Reconnect the electrical harness to the new valve.

   Calibration

   Reconnect the battery. Note: A new electric spool slice must be programmed/calibrated to the tractor's ECU using a dealer diagnostic tool (like Diagmaster) for it to function correctly.

   Final Check

   Top up the transmission/hydraulic oil level, start the tractor, and check for leaks and proper valve operation.
